Gridiron Glam

Last year, I did a mega-post with gameday dresses and tops for all the gals in the SEC. This year, I decided to carry on that tradition. I'm a creature of habit, so there's a 156% chance it'll happen again next year.

This doesn't mean that fans from other conferences can't enjoy these same trends. I am only familiar with the color schemes of the SEC, as I'm a Razorback girl. Plus, MY LORD that would take forever to list every school in the U.S.

Makes me need an Excedrin just thinking about it.

Alabama

Crimson cuties will love this adorable one-shoulder number with nifty houndstooth print from Impressions. We think Bear Bryant would have approved.

Arkansas

Hog fan hotties could rock either of these outfits from Impressions on gameday or to a stylish tailgate, (or even to the office!) Woo Pig Stylish!

Auburn

War Eagle women will turn heads in this stylish tunic from Red Dress Boutique. With such a striking print, all eyes will be on her instead of the quarterback.

Florida

Floridian fashionistas could sport these chic pants to a game or tailgate with ease. And they're totally work appropriate! From The Ragev.

Georgia

Hawt diggity dawg! This black and red zig-zag dress from Red Dress Boutique is scorching! For the game, the stands and everything in between.

Kentucky

Kentucky girls are going "wild" for this little number in bold blue from Savoir-Faire.

LSU

I see this purple and gold top from Tru Colors Apparel in the future for many an LSU fan. Don't y'all?

Mississippi State

Mississippi's finest Southern Belles would look presh in this little frock from ASOS.

Missouri

New to the SEC, Mizzou girls are sure to be stylish in this beautiful black and cream zig zag dress from Lavish! I love this as an alternative to a plain black dress for this school.

Ole Miss

This GORGEOUS plaid shirt (which yours truly just happens to own) is blue, red and perfect for Ole Miss girls! Find it at Savoir-Faire.

South Carolina

Words cannot describe the perfection of this dress from Blue Door Boutique for South Carolinian sweethearts.

Tennessee

I know TN's color is technically not burnt orange, but still...y'all could totes wear this to a game. And so could Auburn gals! From The Rage.

Texas A & M

This is another new-to-the-SEC team this year, which is a great excuse for any Aggie lady to get some new gameday clothes, (not that anyone ever needed an excuse to buy gameday clothes!) Love this sweater from The Rage.

Vanderbilt

This beautiful chevron dress from Red Dress Boutique would be ten kinds of perfect for any Vandy girl...so chic! Just like the ladies at Vanderbilt!

So whatever team you choose to support this football season, SEC team or not, be stylish. Hey, gamedays (at least around these parts) are the perfect opportunity to show off a new outfit - even if it is a tad ridiculous for a tailgate...it's what we do!

P.S.- Woo Pig! Beat Jacksonville State on Saturday!

Be blessed, lovelies-

Eleven Things

via Atlantis Home
So I was recently tagged in a fun little game (which y'all have probably seen floating around the interwebs on other blogs) by the lovely and hilarious Jayme over at Kentucky Blonde.

If you don't follow and/or read her blog, please do so.

I like to think of Jayme as my sistah from another mistah. We both love wine, good-looking Southern men and clothes. All good things, right?

Anywhoodle, here's how the game goes:

~you must post the rules
~post 11 fun facts about yourself
~answer the 11 questions that the tagger posted for you & then create 11 questions to ask the people you've tagged
~tag 11 people and link them in your post
~let them know you have tagged them

Eleven Fun-ish Facts About Moi

1. I'm a compulsive list-maker. I make lists for my lists. I keep different notebooks for each type of list. I make rough drafts, revised and final versions of my lists.

It's enough to wear a sister out.

2. Strange Celebrity Crush: I think if I weren't married to Stephen, I'd pursue Jonah Hill. I enjoy a man who has the stones to make fun of himself. That takes confidence. And confidence, my friends, is sexy.

3. I have very eclectic taste in music. Some of my favorite artists currently on my iPizzle: Johnny Cash (Arkansas' Son), Stevie Wonder, Bon Iver, Ray LaMontagne, Needtobreathe, Etta James and Tom Petty (and his Heartbreakers.)

4. I have a phobia of balloons. Some kid popped one of those Mylar balloons in Wally World yesterday and I about lost it. Might as well have been an AK-47.

5. I get squeamish watching babies eat. Or looking at photos people post of their babies eating. I'm sorry in advance to all the mamas I just offended.

6. I don't like getting pedicures. My feet are way too sensitive. I'm forced to do them myself at home.

7. My middle name is Paige. I'm not sure if that's considered a "fun" fact, but it's a fact nonetheless.

8. I was a radio/TV major in college before switching over to English. I legitimately wanted to be a news anchor until a disastrous practice newscast in my broadcasting class. Teleprompters are the devil, y'all.

9. I met Christina Ricci once. I worked as an extra on a movie she filmed in Memphis. She is tiny and very polite.

10. When my friend Sarah and I were little, we used to play "office". I would be the boss and she would be the secretary. (Even at a young age, I was demanding.) We used a baby monitor as an intercom and I stole Post-It notes from my dad's (real) office to supply our fictitious one.

11. I used to want a perm when I was little. I begged my mom (who was a hairdresser) and she always refused. Looking back on some of the horrific pictures of permed folks from the 80s and 90s, I'm so thankful my mom said 'no' to that request.

Here are the questions that Jayme posted:

1. What is your all time favorite movie? (you can only name one!)
Shakespeare in Love starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes.

2. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?
The power to clean up our entire house just by twitching my nose, a 'la Samantha on Bewitched.

3. If you could be besties with any celebrity, who would it be?
Reese Witherspoon. We're both from the south, we both have blonde hair and we both got married in 2011. Soulmates? I think so.

Or Paula Deen. I sometimes refer to her as my long-lost grandma.

4. If you could take any trip in the world where would you go?
The Amalfi Coast in Italy.

5. What's one piece of make up you can't live without ?
I can only choose one? Hmmm, let me get back to you on that one...next year...because that's approximately how long it will take me to come up with an answer for this question.

6. What's one accessory (jewelry, scarf, handbag, etc) that you don't leave the house without?
My engagement ring and wedding band : )

7. What is your dream job?
I have several. I'd love to be able to say one day, "I'm a writer." Of course, if you count the blog, I suppose I already am a writer. I would just like to do it full time...and for payment.

I'd also be game for opening a little boutique. Selfishly, just so that I can get discounts on cute clothes.

8. Sausage or bacon?
Neither. Sugar cured ham.

9. What's the best advice you've ever received and who gave it to you?
"Marry him".

Said by my Mom after my family met Stephen.

10. What's your guilty pleasure? (tv show, movie, food, etc.)
Reality TV. Starbucks. Dangerously high heels. Matt Damon. Cutesy lingerie.

I'm a pretty guilt-ridden person.

11. What's your typical Starbucks order?
What is this Starbucks you speak of? An astronomy club, perhaps?

I kidd.

Tall vanilla latte. Full fat milk, full sugar syrup.

Here are the girls I'm tagging in this game:

You. You reading this. Yep, I'm talking to you.
I can't pick 11 blog friends, so I'm tagging you all. Play along, why don't-cha?

Here are the questions I'm asking:

1. If you could raid any celebrity's closet, who would it be and why?
2. If you were a shoe, what would you look like?
3. What is your biggest pet peeve?
4. Favorite song of all-time?
5. Are you a dog person or a cat person? And why? (If you don't like animals, we can't be friends.)
6. You're queen for a day. How do you spend your royal 24 hours?
7. What's the most delicious thing you've ever eaten?
8. What scares you the most? (This can be deep and complex or shallow...whateva you feel like!)
9. Which celebrity do you wish would drift off into obscurity?
10. You're 16 years old again. What advice would you give your younger self?
11. What's your Starbucks order?

To make this more fun, if you do decide to play along with this little game, come back here and leave a link to your blog post in the comments field sometime this week!

Ready...set...go!

Be blessed, lovelies-
