Business As Usual

I'm back and out among the living today! I still don't know if it was the flu or just a really bad cold, but I have not been that sick in a LONG time. Like years. But I'm feeling 100% better today, (well, maybe 72% better).

So it's back to business as usual. Which means I'm back at work AND back to blogging!

First, we have a teensy little business item to take care of. I'm happy to report that we have a November Giveaway Winner and her name is Becky from the blog The Branches! So congrats to Becky!

Second, I discovered this new app called My Style Fashion Assistant last night when I was playing with my iPhone. My Style allows you to create a virtual inventory of your closet, create an outfit calendar (so you don't wear the same thing over and over again) and window shop online! As their tagline says, it's "Paper Dolls...Redefined".

If you've got an iPhone, go download it now for only $3.99. It's the best tool I've seen thus far for fashionistas like ourselves :)

So what are your favorite iPhone apps? If you've discovered an app that's made your life easier or more fun, please do share!

P.S.- A VERY blonde thank you to Jax over at The Roaring Twenties for her fabulous giveaway! Yours truly just won a year's subscription to Glamour magazine, which is hands-down one of my faves! Go visit Jax today and check out her blog!

  1. Glad to hear that you're feeling much better! That App looks soooo cool, however it probably wouldn't do me much good because my work attire is navy blue scrubs EVERY day ;-) My favorite App is Color Soduko because it's soo fun and a great thing to keep me distracted while working out :-D VERY useful to me!

  4. YAY! Got your email and will be submitting it tonight! Things I forgot about my regular job: I can't access gmail except on my phone and Glamour.com is blocked. What.the.heck. haha.. :) I'm glad you won-I love your blog, girly! And I'm also pumped you're feeling better!

And I SO want an iphone. I'm debating about getting myself one for Christmas.. Hmm... haha.. :) Since I'm an only child, my mom usually gives me gift cards, so it's effectively getting it from my mom, right? (However I can justify it..haha)

  5. Glad you are feeling better! That app is crazy! My sister and I used to do something similar on paper when we were in high school because we shared clothes haha

  7. So glad you're feeling better! And that feature for the iphone is so awesome. (I don't have an iphone, but hey, a girl can dream). I think the only reason I can't wait to graduate and go back to work is for the outfits...and the shoes. Can't forget about fab shoes!

  8. I don't have me an iphone but that looks really cool.
(Is it bad that I bought insurance on my BlackBerry because in a year I am going to pretend it is broken and get an iphone for $150?! shhhhhh... that is terrible!)

Glad you are back and that you are feeling better.. I have managed to skirt the flu/cold *knock on wood* Stay healthy!

  10. Glad you are feeling better! yay!
That app sounds wonderful. Is it $3.99 per month or a one time fee? I'm considering an iphone, still a bit confused when I see these little costs...Thank you!

  11. Hey there Red Lipstick! I know exactly what you mean about being confused with all the fees with the iPhone! I took me a month to learn about the costs associated with all the apps : )

The way it works is some of the apps are free and some cost anywhere from $1 to $9. Most are 1 time fees and are charged to the account that your iTunes is set up under. There are, however, some fantastic free apps that don't cost a dime! Either way, Apple will list the cost of the app beside the download button, so this way you know if you're being charged for an app. Great question girl!
