So my husband is officially the sweetest, most thoughtful man ever. Our one-year wedding anniversary is coming up next month, September 17th. Yesterday evening, I got my present a little early.
We had agreed that this fall we would get a doxie puppy. We had planned this a year ago. And last night, Stephen surprised me by taking me to a small town an hour away to meet with a sweet couple who breeds mini dachshunds at their country home.
(The man looked JUST like Santa Claus, haha!)

| (On the left.) We think we'll call her Ruby, as she is "red" in doxie lingo. |
As of August 19th, the sweet little girl with the black nose will be ours! She weighs less than a pound now, so she's a teeny little girl.
We really missed having two dogs. As much as we adored Cash, we couldn't keep two mammoth German Shepherds (two alpha dogs equals LOTS of debauchery) and we also were only fostering him temporarily, as he was dropped on us. The couple that adopted him said he absolutely LOVES being on the farm - so it worked out for everyone!

This tiny girl will be a great addition to our family of three!
P.S.- This whole thing was already in the works before I heard of the finding of those 38 doxies in Texarkana earlier this month, but if you're looking for a warm, furry companion - I highly suggest contacting Jeff Tarpley!
Be blessed, lovelies-
