Dogs' Day Out

Welcome back from the weekend, friends! Today marks the first day of March, which in my mind, translates to the first day of spring. I know it's not the first "official" day of spring, but it makes me feel better to think of it that way : )

Did ya'll have a good weekend? I most certainly did. I had to work a bit later than usual on Friday, but Saturday was, as my blogger friend Jax would say, "awesomesauce", haha.

One of my good friends had a b-day last Tuesday, so Saturday night was her "proper" celebration. It was FRIGID, (so much for the pink halter top I planned on wearing), and we most definitely should not have worn 4 inch stillettos for the crazy amount of walking we did, but hey, at least we looked cute.

It was one of those nights where I literally laughed so hard my stomach hurt and I couldn't catch my breath. Aren't those fun?

The band performance we saw was a total wash, but the deeeee-lighful Lemon Drop martinis at Theo's afterward far more than made up for it. Successful night? I think so.

I've seen so many cute dog pictures lately, (totally random, I know), so I wanted to share them with you guys. I think animals make the best photography subjects, mainly because they are completely uninhibited and not as self-aware as people. This comes out of nowhere, but I just can't keep awesome pics to myself!

One of my neighbors got the cutest little Yorkie puppy this weekend, so I sort of have puppy fever right now. You dog owners out there surely understand. I don't really want to subject a dog to living in my little bitty space, but someday when I have a house with a backyard...Well, anywho, here are some pics to add some "awwww-ness" to your day:

I don't know about you, but I always wear my red Valentino gown when I walk my dog. Well, I would if I had a red Valentino gown or a dog ; )

The following two photos are from MarthaStewart.com's Pet Fashion Photo Contest and I'm IN LOVE.
A Boston Terrier in a tutu? Be still my heart.

Keepin' it classy in pearls...

Louis Vuitton suitcase? Check. Vintage rose-colored make-up case? Check. Cute little doggy to tag along? Check, check.

Dripping in diamonds, darling...

P.S.- Shameless plug: My friend Aimee's dog Fisher, (that's him above), is participating in the Bissell MVP Pet Contest this month, and because she is my favorite red headed friend on the planet, I promised I'd drum up some support for "The Fish". If you feel so moved, you can vote for him here. Additionally, you can go enter your pet in this month's Easter Pets photo contest at MarthaStewart.com!

  2. We just got our baby Rottie mix back in November, it is so hard to believe my little Ruby is almost 6 months! I have been working on leash training her so that she can be my running partner. I highly recommend taking the plunge on a dog if you are ready. We lived in a apartment for 6 years with my lab and she did great, we just took her for long walks and runs as often as we could!

  7. As you are probably aware from my blog, I LOVE dogs!! I'd love to add a third to our family, but with Miss Emma being a senior citizen we think it'd be too much for her.
