Trend Watch Wednesday: {House of Harlow 1960}

Before the TWW goodness, a couple business items:

-First, I want to introduce you guys to Lindy, my new style intern! Lindy is a sophomore from East Carolina University majoring in Fashion Merchandising. A fellow blonde and lover of fashion, this style maven is a girl after my own heart! She's sweet as peach cobbler and adorable to boot- what's not to love about some Lindy? ; ) She'll be helping me with e-Style sessions and future blog articles, as well as many other things!

Meet Lindy, y'all!

-Secondly, I got a couple of emails yesterday asking about what shampoo and conditioner I use. I alternate between Aveda's Color Conserve shampoo/Aveda's Dry Remedy conditioner and Joico's KPak Color Therapy shampoo/condtioner. Love 'em both!

On to the trending!

I'm positively obsessing over the phenomenal Spring 2011 collection from House of Harlow 1960, founded by style maven, Nicole Richie. With minimalism and modern, geometric shapes taking center stage this spring, Richie's latest collection is sure to sell-out quickly.

14KT Gold Feather Cabochon Locket, Gold Red Cabochon Earrings, 14KT Gold Smoky Sun Cocktail Ring, Multicolored Rhodium Cluster Ring, 14KT Bold Red Crescent Cuff

A personal style inspiration of mine, Nicole's eye for design and her trademark of clean lines and a retro feel in her pieces is exactly what makes her such a standout in the land o' fashion.

What's even better about HOH 1960 is that its uber-affordable. Translation: We normal girls making average dollars can purchase it and still afford to pay our electric bill at the end of the month.

Online retailers like The Trend Boutique and Piperlime carry this line, as well as items from past collections, too.

I'd suggest buying a.s.a.p. (and perhaps in bulk.)

Be blessed, lovelies-

  12. I am always looking for new hair products to try because I put my hair through a lot with the blow dryer and highlights and I want it to stay looking healthy. I used to ALWAYS use Aveda Color Conserve Conditioner because it did work great, until my fab hairstylist told me about Shielo Color Protect Conditioner. Shielo's Color Protect Conditioner which is not only a great conditioner for my hair, but really works at preserving my hair color. I add highlights to my hair a couple times a year just to keep a fresh look and make my hair look alive, but I hate when the color starts to fade. My hairstylist always loved Shielo, so when I tried this product I was pleasantly surprised at how great it worked and is now my go to conditioner. I used this conditioner after getting highlights and it really seemed to seal in my color and keep it looking vibrant longer. The conditioner seems to wake up my color when I use it and make it shine. I love that the lather is rich and creamy, but it doesn't make my hair feel heavy or greasy and rinses out easily. It adds a lot of softness and healthiness to my hair and smells great. This is a great conditioner to soften your hair and make your color shine.
