The Jean Pool

7 for All Mankind Roxanne Flood Jeans

Gracious be, ya'll. We have made it to Tuesday.

What did you do on your Monday night? I hit the gym with a trainer friend (thanks again, T) and consequently, this morning I feel like I've been hit by an 18-wheeler. He kicked my rear. It really, really took everything in my being to climb down off my bed this morning. (I have a tall bed, hence the reference to "climbing down" instead of "climbing out")

Yesterday's announcement of the J Brand jegging giveaway had my brain reeling with thoughts of denim last night...alas, we are talking about jeans today. Oh and shorts, shirts, jackets and dresses, too.

Let's start with the top of the body and dress our way down, k?

A cool denim jacket or shirt never goes out of style, so invest in a durable one and wear it to heck and back. The more distressed and "worn", the better.

Moving right along...raise your hand if you owned a denim dress like 50,000 years ago? Me too. And it was heinous.

This beauty from 7 for All Mankind is cute, frilly and oh-so-2010. A vast improvement from my OshKosh B'Gosh jumper from when I was 5.

Show off those legs you've been working all winter for and getcha some cut-offs. I love (and happen to own) these below.

7 for All Mankind Josefina Cut-off Shorts

These two styles from Stella McCartney (left) and Joe's Jeans (right) are guaranteed to make your backside look fabulous. ...they'll love to watch you walk away...

Stella McCartney Wide Leg Trouser Jean, Joe's Jeans in Chelsea Skinny

...I guess either of these will do nicely, too.

True Religion Baggy Boyfriend, Earnest Sewn Dark Skinny

I've got a bulging closet full of jeans, only about half of which I actually wear. These are my tried-and-true favorites:

Fave Splurges:

-7 for All Mankind, A Pocket Flip Flop Jeans - $165

-J Brand, Petite 12" Pencil Jean - $159

Fave Inexpensive:

-BDG by Urban Outfitters, Black & Blue Skinny Jean - $54

-American Eagle, Skinny Jean in Dark Vintage Wash - $29.50

Do you have a favorite brand of denim? What's your favorite style of jean? Cropped, bootcut, skinny...?
Be blessed, lovelies-

Thanks for your sweet comment on my graduation post. I'm getting caught up on reading myself after this week. It feels amazing to be done! It's amazing how clearly I see the world now that I'm not stressing about school! Let me know if you ever want me to guest post about my favorite topic - earrings :)
