Confessional Friday: {Link Up}

It's Friday! All day long, friends! Let's confess.

1) I confess that I paid my VERY LAST car payment on thine olden Altima yesterday and it felt friggin' fantastic! Hitting the 'submit' button on the Nissan payment site last night was about the best feeling ever. I'm going to drive this puppy until the wheels fall off, which really could happen any day. Strange noises and such.) And even then, I will Fred Flinstone-style pedal that thing if I have to.

2) I confess that hearing Caroline say "mama" this week was the best sound I've ever heard. (I posted two videos of this on Instagram at my username, ablondeambition.) I told her in the hospital that her first word better be mama because she made me soooo sick while I was pregnant ; ) Guess she decided to heed my advice.

3) I confess that I am dreading this summer heat like a root canal. And I've never had a root canal, but they sound dreadful. It was nearly 90 on Wednesday and it felt like 2,000. Have I mentioned that I prefer fall?

4) I confess that I'm hoping this house sells quickly because ohmygosh...this constant cleaning is killing a sister. I'm very grateful that we have a home to be selling in the first place, but good grief is it ever tiring. I've gotten really good at hiding crap in drawers and cabinets before showings. And, a possible plus, my arms are getting really toned from all the vacuuming I've been doing.

Okie dokie. Let's hear yours!

  6. Just don't forget where you are hiding things along the way, lol! I perfected the art of stuffing things in drawers, closets and cabinets before showings, but then forgot where I put a few things after doing so, ensuing in even more panic! Wishing you good luck and a quick sale!:)

    1. Okay, I seriously lost my phone charger that way last week! Went to charge it and...couldn't find it. I had shoved it into an end table drawer, which we never use. Haha!!

  7. man, i have been loving the heat! the humidity, not so much. i love arkansas summers even when it gets up 109 i still love it. but that's mainly cause i loose 10 pounds every summer sweating in our warehouse here at work. i've grown to love being hot. lol so weird i know but it's way better than negative 16. just saying.

    one time when i went to look at houses i went into one of the laundry rooms and the lady who lived there left two of her bras hanging up to dry. omg i was thinking she probably DIED when she saw she left those out. i totally would.

    1. Jessica, I just died laughing at the bra ordeal - HA! I told Stephen last night that, if anything, we have to make sure that undies and bras are hidden out of sight! Hilarious and mortifying ; )

  8. Yeah, our house is recently listed too and the keeping it clean with a 3 year old is driving me to drink. It's so stressful! This baby needs to sell STAT.

  11. They gave me a bunch of details & storage options, and offered to help more if I would like. If only other Companies had such service, I would never leave them.
