Special Edition, Trend Watch Wednesday: {G.I. Jane}

My amazing and talented style intern, Lindy Maddox, is back today to tell y'all about the military-inspired clothing trends for fall 2011! Listen up, ladies! This style is not only affordable and attainable, but it's also WEARABLE for females of all ages. What's not to love?

Lindy, tell 'em why they need to get militarized!

..........................................................

Left, left, left right left! Pick up the pace ladies, military madness is marching its way through fall fashion!

The fierce army green that represents the brave people who serve our country isn’t just patriotic, it’s chic! All throughout runway collections for fall 2011, this endearing color jumps from tops to accessories and all the way down to your steel-toed boots and booties.

Cheap Monday Militaria Jacket from UO; Steve Madden Banddit Boot; Sophia Chain Military Coat from Piperlime
Stores such as J.Crew, Urban Outfitters, and Banana Republic have an infantry of army green displayed across their lines for autumn. You can wear this stylish color in silk blouses, cropped pants, or studded belts and always look fit for a fashion fight. Here are some adorable ideas that could add some kick to your closet full of clothes, and easily transition from summer to fall:

Banana Republic Drawstring Mini; Heritage Linen Jacket; Boyfriend Chino Cropped Pant from Banana Republic

Obey St. Germaine Painter Jacket from Urban Outfitters; Stealth Satchel from J.Crew; Timex Military Watch from J.Crew
 So when that little voice in the back of your head commands you to add the latest combative color to your wardrobe, you better respond with a thundering “SIR, YES SIR!”

Be blessed, lovelies-
