Confessional Friday

via Dustjacket Attic

Y'all know the drill. I confess my innermost thoughts, questionable ideas and embarrassing moments from this week and you do the same. Let's do this!

1. I forgot about a load of laundry that I put in the washer day before yesterday until this morning. I walked by our Laundry Room and smelled something that was reminiscent of stagnant water and dirty feet. In other words, it mildewed y'all. Wife FAIL.

2. I've been cheating on my beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte this fall. The Salted Caramel Mocha and I have been getting quite close lately. And....I like it. The Salted Caramel just satisfies a part of me that the Pumpkin Spice never could. Is it possible that I have found a replacement for my PSL? Never! But perhaps a close, seasonal runner-up.

3. We have a room in our home that resembles something off of that show Hoarders. You see, I moved into Stephen's house after the wedding and we didn't have anywhere to put a good half of all my stuff, so we shoved it into what used to be Stephen's drum room/office. (Yep, he has a drum set...and is quite good.) Every time we need something from what has been dubbed, The Hoarding Room, one of us says, "I'm going in! Call the Fire Department if you don't see me in ten!" It's definitely a fire hazard and I'm quite sure that if a small child wandered in there, they'd ever find their way out. I'm determined to get it cleaned out though...as soon as the New Year rolls around.

4. All of that to say, the rest of our house and the rooms in it are pristine! But Stephen and I always share a little inside chuckle when someone remarks on the cleanliness of our house. If only they could see that room...

5. I'm contemplating more permanent hair extensions for a birthday present to myself. Tired of the clip-ins, which I haven't used in a sweet forever because they no longer match my hair color. Yes, I know...TENS of dollars down the drain!  I may need to call Kelly very soon...

6. My 27th B-Day may or may not be coming up on Dec. 3rd. I'm sure I'll change my tune in a few years, but I'm loving this particular point in my life. I'm actually not ashamed to admit that getting older really isn't so bad.

7. I had an "I am officially becoming my mother" moment yesterday. I was having a conversation with someone last night and actually used the phrase, "girls these days!" We were talking about how the youth of today are so scantily clad and should dress more modestly. Who have I become?!

8. I may or may not arrange my Friday nights around Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team on CMT. Oh, come on! Like y'all never wanted to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader when you were growing up....or now.

Ok, your turn...what do you have to confess this week? Spill it!

P.S. - Check out my post on NWA Motherload today about fall trends! I met hottie moms Shannon and Gwen (the duo behind the site) at the recent Maude Blogger Photoshoot and they graciously asked me to contribute a little bloggity post to their fab site. Thanks again, ladies!

Be blessed, lovelies-

  4. I totally get your "mom" moment on girls these days and I am 5 years yougner than you! it is so amazing though how things change so fast..I wouldn't be caught dea in some of the things I see my 15 yr. old sister's friends are wearing.

I may just do a post like this but people may think I am weird..the only thing I can think of using your verbiag "i may or may not like my little puppy licking and nibbling my ears more than my fiance"

    bad?

my most embarassing/ super funny moment of the week? laughing at one of my friends who went flying on the sidewalk for no good reason only to do the same thing in the middle of the road infront of penn station three minutes later. i have a fantastic bruise to show for it!

    Happy friday Xo!

  9. Omgosh! I completely forgot about our clothes in the washer for 3 days! Last night, my hubby asked me if I smelled something musty. I told him it was probably just the humidity, ran to re-start the washer, and just shut the laundry room door. Still new at this wife-thing, so I'm in the fake-it-til-you-make-it mode. Hah!

  12. My lifelong dream is to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. At 27 though, I believe I may be too old and not have the willpower to get my body fat down to 0%. The "fat" girl on the team has 14% body fat.

  14. Guess who else forgot laundry in the washing machine?
Yah that would be me. Ugh. Not happy about that!!
I wish I could afford to get extensions... I am officially growing the locks out and I think it's going to be quite a lengthy process. I have NEVER had it long though and I really want to see what it looks like... so the growing begins!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)
