Show Us Your Life: Go Hogs!

First of all, let me just say THANK YOU to all you wonderful followers for being so loyal! Last night, A Blonde Ambition received its 100th follower, which for a girl that never thought anyone would read her blog, is really exciting : ) I actually had 102 followers this morning, so even better!

Don't forget, next Thursday, October 15 is the day of the October giveaway drawing, so don't forget to enter yourself for a super cute prize!

I'm sure most of you read and love Kelly's Korner and I am definitely a fan. Although I can't participate in all of the "Show Us Your Life" posts, (I don't have a husband or a baby, which makes it really hard to comment on weddings, baby showers and baby products, LOL), I love participating when I can. This week, readers will submit their favorite football teams and favorite football traditions.

Obviously, my fave team is the Arkansas Razorbacks! GO HOGS GO!

As far as traditions go, a good tailgate is always a yummy way to start a game day. I love any kind of tailgate that involves barbeque and sweet tea, yummmmm.....

An Arkansas football tradition for the girls is to dress up for games. I'm pretty sure this tradition exists in many of the southern states...we love our pearls and heels, yall : ) You'll hardly ever see a southern gal in jeans and a T-shirt for a game unless it's really cold. She'll likely be wearing her best team color dress, cute boots or ballet flats and a poofy ponytail (my 'do of choice!) I really like these dresses and am thinking about ordering the first one (black with red/black checkered bottom) for the Razorback Homecoming game...

So let me hear you! What is your favorite team (college or NFL) and what traditions do you have?

  2. Super cute! Montana State's homecoming is tomorrow and my outfit plan is to wear as many clothes as possible! Seriously, it's -4F with windchill right now, so I'm just going to try not to get frostbite!

  3. The dresses are so cute! I am a Big 12 fan and more importantly a Texas Tech fan!! I learned through blogging that SEC girls dress up for games. We don't dress up for football games in Texas. LOL! I love reading about everyone's traditions.

  5. Congrats on the 100 followers!! I absolutely love the black and white dress. In The Domestic Goddess household, we are big San Francisco 49er fans and we love throwing football sunday parties. We splurge and order pizza (usually forbidden in our healthy household) and munch on veggies, fruit, pita chips and hummus. We love that we can enjoy the game with friends and family.

  6. Love the outfits! Like you, I'm never one you'll see at a game wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I'm the one you'll see at Tennessee games in a cute dress or jeans, boots, and a button up complete with pearls and my LV! Have a great weekend!

  7. I think our school was one of the few SEC schools that doesn't dress up for games. I went ta GA game once and thought the girls all looked super cute! Go Gators! : )

  8. I love the dresses! My husband is actually a video coordinator for a college football team- Ball State; we were actually undefeated last year and the MAC West Champions. Anyway.... it's much different in the north, or maybe it's just different b/c i'm an adult with a child now- but I do tend to wear my jeans to the games, of course, I dress it up with a cute red/black top and heels. But, once it's cold it's jeans and a sweatshirt for me! And, it's already cold here! But, my favorite team would have to be Ball State (Mostly b/c we get paid by them), followed by the Razorbacks (don't tell my husband!), then ASU (simply b/c that's my alma matter)

  9. If it's REALLY cold, I think you could totally pull off a black dress, red tights, black uggs, a black jacket and red scarf/hat/gloves.

(Can you tell I miss living up north where it gets really cold? I love dressing the part)

I love that you dress up for football games...
I am a HUGE Wisconsin Badgers fan (college) and Green Bay Packer fan (NFL). This year, my friends and I are making a habit out of making some tasty football food and getting together at my place to watch the Packers game.

  16. Well pass me a slab of Bar-b-que and one o' them adult beverages, and I'll just join your li'l tailgate party! lol. Love your blog, came over here on a tip from bloggery buddy Crystal Clear.

Me? I'm a Detroit Lions fan and our tradition is, for the past several lifetimes, it seems, LOSING! Aaargh! But we have enough adult beverages during the sadsack attempts at fielding a quality product to have fun anyway. (wink)
