Confessional Friday: Link-Up

            1.  I had a Sprite and a fist-full of Cheeze-Its for breakfast this morning. Lately, it’s been so muggy and hot that I’m craving anything but coffee and oatmeal.

 2. I bought a three-pack of Mystic Tans this week. #OfficiallyAddicted.

There was an AH-MAZING deal on dealpiggy.com for 3 spray tans for $30…if you are like me and not so good with the math, that is $10 per spray tan, my friends. They are usually $26 a piece. This results in a savings of 62%. And doing all of these calculations just made my head hurt.

3. I’m dreading summer like nobody’s biz. I hear people in the northern states talk about how they love summer so much, because they get a break from the snow and ice. But we in the south tend to dread it. Nothing but scorching temps from May to September (and sometimes into October…bleh!)

The only appealing part is getting to wear cute little skirts, like the below from ASOS.

This is almost enough to make me want to move to Minnesota or Washington or something. Almost.

4. I’m obsessed with the new Jack White album Blunderbuss. Little known fact about moi, I love a good rockabilly album. And Mr. White never disappoints. I’m hoping he goes on tour again, like he did with The Dead Weather in 2010, because I will be there.

 5. We are having a doggy birthday party for Ari next month. Our little boy is turning five! Yes, we probably are a titch ridiculous when it comes to our furry guy, but hey...it gives us an excuse to have people over and grill out : )

6. I bought two cute dresses at Savoir-Faire today! Can't wait to show y'all what they look like. After I get a spray tan and whatnot...

7. Has anyone ever gotten lash extensions? Just curious. I know a local salon in Fayetteville does them, but I've never looked into it. I have a gift card from the hubs and want to spend it wisely!

Be blessed, lovelies-

  1. I know how you feel about summer. I'm looking forward to it...but not so much the humidity and oppressive temps. Also...I had a cupcake for breakfast earlier in the week - no judgement about your Sprite and Cheez-Its!

  3. I've been getting lash extensions for the past 6 months, every 3 weeks or so getting a fill in, and I LOVE them. I only wore mascara and maybe a smidge of eyeliner before, and now I don't wear any makeup for daytime wear. They really open up your eyes and it's so great not worrying about any runny makeup in heat, water, ect!

  4. Yes the summers are unfortunate here in TX too! ugh! I don't tan either....so spray is the way to go, plus you don't get all those wrinkles!!! I have heard good things about Lastisse? It's supposed to grow your eyelashes?

  5. I have a feeling this summer is going to be a scorcher! You know it's hot out there when condensation already forms on your sweet tea before you can get out to the porch!

  8. aww eye lash extensions...a pageant must... however, they are an expensive upkeep if you really want them. You must make sure you go to a good place that knows what they are doing or they can really hurt your lashes. I only did them for the state pageant each year, but they are fun!

  10. Ugh...I am dreading summer too.

Here in VA it is ridiculously hot and humid and I feel so disgusting just walking to/from my car/work. In places out West like AZ/CA, it can be 100 degrees outside and be more pleasant than 85 degrees here.

I'm totes having a b-day party for Hazel next year...and every year thereafter :) They're members of the fam, it's legit!!

  11. I am SO not looking forward to summer here in the South. Last weekend we had folks over for a grill out of sorts and it was barely hitting 75 after the sun went down but still muggy... I miss Northern Summers when my clueless self thought MD was humid. WOW was I wrong... Bless my heart ;)

  17. I'm thrilled for summer, but not for the weather accompanying it. Let's just hope for a milder summer than last year! I dont think AR/OK/TX can take another summer like that!
