Confessional Friday: {Link Up}

Annnnnnd, it's that time of the week again. I swear, these weeks are flying by now that we have a kiddo. But enough about that, let's get to confessin'!

1. I confess that tonight we're going on our FIRST DATE since having Caroline! Yes, our daughter is four months old. But. BUT, we've been tied up every weekend since her birth it seems, and she was ill for most of January and February, thanks to daycare. Finally, finally, mommy and daddy are going out on the town! Ladies, if you don't have kids yet, please do not take these special times with your partner for granted. They are all too rare when the babies show up : )

2. I confess that I had an amazing day at work yesterday brainstorming with my team on upcoming projects. I honestly love my job. It's cool to say that I get paid to go to an office and use my imagination and creativity all day. Plus, days like yesterday really do make me happy that I still get to be a work-out-of-the-home mom a couple days a week.

3. I confess that I ate half a sleeve of Thin Mints in one setting Monday night.

4. I confess that I absolutely consider hauling my daughter's carseat around (with her in it) as exercise. Have you ever tried lifting one of those puppies? Heavens to Brenda, y'all.

5. I confess that WE GOT DAVE MATTHEWS TICKETS for his Tulsa show in May and I could faint from excitement. I'm now on the search for the perfect boho chic dress and shoes for our evening with Mr. Matthews.

Your turn, gals.

  1. Lifting the infant carrier with the baby in it is DEFINITELY exercise! My little man is at least 20 pounds now, so lifting him in the carrier feels like a superhuman feat! Happy Friday:)

  2. Yay for date night! Have fun!! :)

  3. I totally agree, the infant carrier with infant in it is exercise. Win, win! :) Also, this post made me realize that I have not had 1 Thin Mint this cookie season...going to have to remedy that this weekend! Have a great Friday and weekend, and date night! :)

  4. Have you seen Dave live before? I used to be a HUGE, HUGE fan in the 2000's - I think I went to 4 or 5 of his shows and every time he killed it. You will have SUCH a fun time!!! Hit up Pinterest and search for "Festival Wear" so much fun inspiration in there.

    Enjoy yourself - I'm on cloud nine because I secured tickets to see Bruce Springsteen in April, in ATL - it's an outdoor show so I hope rain won't happen but I'm pretty excited. I've been wanting to see him live since the 80's!!! Yay for concerts!

  5. Girl Scout cookies get me every single time. Have a good weekend :)

  6. I confess that your confession about "half a sleeve" of thin mints in one sitting made me blanch… Because I definitely ate a WHOLE sleeve! Those are just too good.

  7. Oh yes...those car seats are a doozy and they only get heavier as the baby grows! I'm just glad that my kidlet is able to walk with me to the car that it's going in. So much easier.

  8. I am OBSESSED with Dave and hope to catch his show in Chicago! Nothing is better in the summer time than drinking your favorite beverage while listening and singing along with Dave. :) Enjoy his show!!

What'cha got?
