Fridays Make Me Want to Dance

It's Friday, ladies and gents! As ya'll already know, I get very excited about Fridays. They make me want to dance. I can't help it, I positively live for the weekends, (and really, who doesn't?)

Does everyone have exciting plans for the weekend? Any road trips, girls' nights out or shopping sprees in the works?

Tonight I'm meeting up with Dee for our weekly Girls' Night Out and we are SO ready! We're going to see a band at one of our favorite little venues and probably follow it up with our favorite Lemon Drop Martinis from Theo's. We feel like we deserve a little reward because we've worked out alot this week and haven't eaten junk, haha.

So as always, last night was Project Runway night at my place. Dee and I hit the gym around 6:30 for over an hour, then walked back to my apartment and settled in for PR. It was a great episode, ya'll! The designers had the tough task of designing a dress based on one of the four elements; fire, air, water and earth.

Johnathan won his very first challenge by creating this gorgeous dress inspired by air. The combination of the model's pale skin and blonde hair with the cream color of the dress was so beautiful.

Maya and Seth Aaron also had fantastic designs...

Unfortunately, it was not Ben's night, as he was the one sent home. From the waist up, his outfit wasn't that bad, but from the waist down....oh my gracious. Bless his heart, those were the most ill-fitting pants I've ever seen.

Can't wait til next week.

In other news, have you seen the Mad Men Barbies? That's right, Barbie creators have come up with a new line inspired by the hit show. The collection comes complete with Betty and Joan and hottie-bow-bottie, Don Draper. I've never collected Barbies, but this kind of makes me want to start.

So let's see, what else is going on around here....

Oh yeah! Next week, I'm going to formally introduce you guys to Dee. She is a great girl friend of mine, (and a fellow blonde), who loves shopping, decorating, baking, cute boys and good martinis just as much as we all do, haha. She will be helping me write a new series called, "Tales of the High Heel Mafia."

High Heel Mafia was the name jokingly given to us by a guy friend, because we always wear heels, no matter what the weather conditions, terrain or occasion. This series will be about our adventures as single girls and we'll offer tips and tricks about everything from shopping on a budget, to changing a flat tire, (Dee's gonna have to handle that post, haha), workout tips for real women and how to survive dating disasters. Just consider it kind of an advice column from your girl friends...

I'm so excited for ya'll to meet her and I know you'll love her as much as I do!

And lastly...

Can I just say how much I appreciate each and every single one of you followers and loyal readers? I cannot believe that ABA is almost to 400 followers...I honestly never expected anyone other than my mom to want to read this blog, haha.

There are many exciting projects in the works right now, (new giveaways, guest contributors and more,) so stay tuned.

That's it for today! Have a safe and relaxing weekend and don't forget to set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night.

Be blessed, lovelies-

XOXO,

Leslie

  10. I just watched Project Runway on my DVR - it was a great episode. Johnathan's dress was fabulous - the color, the cut, the idea behind it - everything about it was perfect.

On another note, I hope Amy gets back on track. I really liked her designs at the beginning of the season, but she's starting to lose me!
