Confessional Friday: {Link-up}

'Ello, lovelies! Another work week has passed and, lo' and behold, it's time for Confessional Friday. If you're playing along with the schedule of topics, it's time to let us all in on the quirks and idiosyncrasies that make you...well...you.

Here are a few things you may not know about me:

-I have a thing for goats. I've always, always wanted a pet goat. I think they're adorable and highly entertaining.

-I loathe (and am allergic to) cats. Ack!

-When I was eight or so, I used to pretend I was on Baywatch at our local beach. I had a red bathing suit and would run with my Jem air mattress tucked under my arm (remember Jem?), pretending to be dashing off to save a drowning victim, usually played by my childhood friend Josh. True story.

-For the longest time, I thought "snipe hunting" involved the tracking and killing of a strange bird called a snipe. It wasn't until a few years ago that a then-boyfriend let me in on the secret that this was a joke.

-I'm one of the only people in the world that hates jelly beans. Shew!

-I used to have a phobia of throwing up, so when I was little, I would literally hold it in and do whatever it took to avoid it when I had a stomach bug. You'll be happy to know that, thanks to this pregnancy, I no longer have that phobia.

...................................................................................

P.S. - Answers to questions from yesterday's Bumpdate post:

-Where did my shoes come from? Right here. Sam & Libby for Target.

-Where did my dress come from? Forever 21 two years ago!

-Where did we find the monogrammed door hanging? Right here. It took a few weeks to ship, but it was well worth it - we LOVE it!

  2. Love this! P.S. I also hate jelly beans, and literally avoided vomit for stretches of 5 years at a time. I hate it and it terrifies me.

  6. Too funny I also loathe jelly beans! They are like wax.... and I did the same thing when I was younger with not wanting to be sick, and I got car sick a lot.

Funny story about pet goats... a few years back I was invited to a friend from work's house for some wine. After a few sips I turned around to see a GOAT standing right behind me. With a bow. At first I had to check my level of wine to make sure I was seeing things correctly, but it was in fact a pet goat whose name was precious...

  7. I think, considering the fact that all of your puking this pregnancy has led to you getting an ulcer(!), that you were absolutely right and justified in having a vomit phobia.

Also, I'm with you on the cats, though I am not allergic. I just hate them, mostly because they shed like mad, and they tend to behave like entitled snots. Yuck.

    Happy Friday!

  12. My brother had a pet goat. Her name was Annie, b/c she was a Nanny goat. She would stand on top of our cars, and the wood pile. She'd also climb onto the tiniest shelf that hung on the wall on our back porch. I have no idea how she fit up there, but she did! I guess I was in high school when he had this goat, but when I was little, we had a baby goat that lived in our backyard. I don't remember having it though. My brother and sister have told me and I've seen pictures. I was just too little.
